Marble-Top Tea Table mahogany, 27½"h, 29"w, 17"d This marble-top design from the second quarter of the 18th century is likely from the urban cabinetmaking center of Boston. Other Boston pieces it has similarly shaped scalloped aprons and cabriole legs ending in pad feet. In addition, it has C scrolls at the transition from apron to leg and candle slides at either end. This example replicates an original with a marble top that has been dished from the solid. similar example: Sack Vol. X, p. 65
