Highboy A monumental highboy in the Eliphalet Chapin school with four Chapin signature ball and claw feet. The upper and lower center drawers feature applied foliate carvings, and the open pediment has basketweave fretwork. The central cartouche stands on a turned plinth with applied carving. Both upper and lower cases have fluted quarter columns. The drawers and upper case are of dovetailed construction, and the lower case is of mortise-and-tenon construction. similar examples: Fales p. 215, Ward p. 278
