Goddard Corner Chair

Goddard corner chairs were made with several variations in the feet: examples are known with four ball and claw feet, three with one pad foot in back, one ball and claw foot in front with three pad feet, and with four pad feet as shown here. Otherwise identical to the previous chair, this variation gives it a lighter look and less formal presence.
All
the Newport corner chairs are of mortise-and-tenon construction throughout.
This example is shown with fabric on the slip seat, but it may also be
upholstered in leather as shown below.
